W/ Us Since June 2015
As our Operations Manager, Cindy facilitates Wheelhouse values being administered through our finances, human resource processes and the general office functioning. She supports all our practices by identifying and placing new candidates in our open positions, ensuring each employee feels welcome and included at Wheelhouse and finds their development path. Besides her people operations duties, Cindy also keeps our refrigerator and pantry full of great food, always mindful of allergies and preferences.
“I’ve had the opportunity to lead our initiatives related to diversity and inclusion. What started as a conversation during an all-hands meeting became a company-wide focus. We believe in making Wheelhouse a diverse and inclusive workplace because it directly aligns with our values to make everyone feel welcome. It’s been personally valuable to me as a woman of color and a justice advocate.”
Graduating from Baylor University in Waco, Texas with a degree in Economics and Accounting, Cindy previously worked for another analytics consulting agency in Seattle and a travel agency before Wheelhouse DMG as a staff accountant and executive assistant. At Wheelhouse, she made a pivot from accounting to her true passion of people operations, though she still keeps an eye on our books.
Being Puerto-Rican by descent, Cindy enjoys chasing the sun in Seattle, getting outside at the first sign of good weather, whether that’s hiking or reading by Green Lake. Otherwise, you might find her enjoying delicious food at one of Ballard’s great restaurants with her husband or volunteering with local anti-human trafficking organization, Unbound Seattle.
