As a Digital Marketing Analyst on our Analytics Team, Julian assists clients in developing a culture of testing to improve Conversion Rate Optimization and SEO performance. He helps our clients find wisdom in their data that is valuable and actionable. By connecting Key Performance Questions (KPQs) to business goals and integrating sound research practices, Julian empowers our clients to design experiments that enhance digital strategy and strengthen performance. Julian’s vision is to work with the analytics team to execute meaningful changes in clients’ digital strategy and use data-based storytelling to demonstrate business value.

Julian’s path to digital marketing began in higher education. He has a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara. As a professor, he educated students about political communication and digital strategy in collective action campaigns. The key insight from his scholarly work is that effective communication campaigns require a compelling theory of change and a story that inspires people to act.
When Julian’s not conducting A/B tests, he enjoys seeing his favorite bands on tour and watching the Seattle Sounders compete for another MLS cup. He loves riding his bike on the Burke-Gilman trail and planning road trips around Cascadia.
