VP of Marketing
As Vice President of Marketing, Ryan is responsible for building brand awareness and expanding thought leadership. With over a decade of experience in the search and digital marketing space, Ryan is known for thoughtfully balancing a data-driven approach with the market’s desire for bleeding-edge solutions.
Ryan previously served as Executive Vice President of Marketing at RKG (Rimm-Kaufman Group), joining the company in 2006. There he led marketing and strategy to help build RKG into the nation’s largest privately held search marketing agency before its acquisition by Merkle. More recently, Ryan served as EVP of Marketing Strategy with Merkle. He has supported multichannel online campaign strategies for some of the largest response-focused advertisers in the retail, travel, B2B and finance verticals.
An established speaker at industry events and universities, Ryan has shared candid data trends and tactics with audiences at SMX, SES, eTail, Shop.org, PhoCusWright and other conferences. He has written for and been interviewed by USA Today, eMarketer, Shop.org and many others for his unique insights on the changing landscape of online marketing.
Ryan’s other wheelhouse is his amateur USTA tennis “career.” You’ll often find him playing respectable tennis at tournaments around the mid-Atlantic coast. He’s a fan of all sports teams Pittsburgh and is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
